I anticipate he’ll range between 40-45 full-grown, although, I initially thought the same about his dad (based on his puppy size) and then he surprised us and only reached 38 lbs full-grown!

Australian Labradoodle FAQ’s!
What’s the difference between a Labradoodle and an Australian Labradoodle?
A Labradoodle can be F1, F2, F3, and multi-generation and they can only possess Labrador and poodle genetics. Whereas the Australian Labradoodles are all fifth generation or higher and have genes from other breeds.
Why do they call them Australian Labradoodles?
The Australian Labradoodle is named after their country of origin (Australia), it’s also important to note, that there is no Australian Shepherd in the Australian Labradoodle.
What’s so special about an Australian Labradoodle?
Australian Labradoodles are intuitive, intelligent, easily trained, and great for families with young children. If you’re looking for a well-rounded dog the Australian Labradoodle would be a great choice for almost any family! Australian Labradoodles have luxurious soft coats which also makes them incredibly cuddly!
Are Australian Labradoodles calmer than regular Labradoodles?
Based on my experience I’d say this is usually true. Almost all of the Labradoodles I’ve met have fantastic temperaments but some can be too high-energy or hyperactive for me, especially compared to our Australian Labradoodles.
Are Australian Labradoodles coats high maintenance?
Fleece coats are relatively easy to maintain but they do need regular grooming. Australian Labradoodles can be groomed to meet your lifestyle though so if you prefer a very low-maintenance dog, you can keep your Doodle in a shorter clip with virtually no maintenance in between grooming appointments but if you keep them in a longer clip, you need to comb them a couple of times a week to keep them from matting in-between appointments.
Miniature Size Labradoodle:
- Height: 14″-16″ at the shoulder – Weight: 18-25 lbs.
Moyen (Medium) Size Labradoodle:
- Height: 17″-20″ at the shoulder – Weight: 30-45 lbs.
Standard Size Labradoodle:
- Height: Over 21″ at the shoulder – Weight: 45 lbs. or more
(Note: Dreamydoodles rarely have Standard size Labradoodles.)

Picking Up Your Dreamydoodle Puppy!
We expect our puppy visitors to have some heartfelt family discussions and personal soul-searching before they schedule a visit. Please be prepared to take home a puppy the same day you visit.
💖 Ensure you’ve cleared your calendar for at least 2-3 days to start the bonding process with your new puppy and to welcome them into your home, life, and family BEFORE you need to leave them alone for an extended period.
🎓Additionally, we strongly encourage everyone in the puppy’s new family to participate in training and to enroll in a “puppy training class” to kickstart basic puppy obedience and to also improve your own dog training skills.
We also highly recommend the Puppy Training video series by McCann Dogs on YouTube!
Please be prepared to take your puppy home on the same day you visit!
