50 Mg/ML Oral Pro Pyrantel Pamoate Oral Suspension,
*Labeled for humans but can ALSO safely be used for dogs and puppies
when using the appropriate dose per weight.
This is an enexpensive general-purpose Dewormer used
for limited spectrum deworming.
Two sizes Available – 16 oz and 32 oz.
Why Use Pyrantel Pamoate 50 mg/mL?
Pyrantel Pamoate effectively treats roundworms and hookworms in dogs and puppies, including pregnant or lactating females and the 50 ml/mg version is the more cost-effective option compared to the much smaller and more expensive bottles of name brands like Nemex 2 or Durvet 2X, which require much larger quantities for the same effective treatment.
Cost-Effective Treatment Solution – The 50 mg/mL suspension like Oral-Pro is an economical deworming solution, especially for dog breeders. For example, a 32 oz bottle of Oral Pro provides you with the same amount of Pyrantel Pamoate as 105 packs of the Nemex 2 (2 chewable tablets per pack) dewormer option, saving you money.

- Administering Worming Medication Orally: Medications should be administered orally.
Recommended methods for administration:
Oral Administration: for accuracy make sure you have the appropriately sized oral syringe. Syringe size depends on the dosage amount. *See our syringe size chart below.
- Measure the correct dose for the weight of your dog using the dosage chart below.
- Gently insert the syringe into the side of your puppy/dog’s mouth
- Administer the medication slowly but not too slowly, you want to ensure they have time to swallow but don’t spit it all out.
- You may need to gently hold their mouth closed for a second or two just to confirm they’ve fully swallowed the dose.
Mix with Food: Add the appropriate dosage of medication to the bitch or puppies’ regular meal.
Ensure it is thoroughly mixed, that the entire dose is consumed, and that no other dogs or puppies have access to their bowl. I recommend using an oral syringe for accuracy sake but this is also an option.

Puppies who weigh under 5 lbs. require a higher dose of Pyrantel than those who weigh more than 5 lbs. Follow the chart below.

Worming for Both Puppies and Bitch
Once the puppies are born follow the following guidelines.

- Treat puppies with Pyrantel Pamoate at 2 weeks and 4 weeks old.
- Use Fenbendazole (Safeguard) for Puppies (ONLY) after 6 weeks old.
